History

 

Founded in 1908 by a group of Princeton University students and alumni as the Princeton Summer Camp. It was intended to help inner city children by offering them healthy, character0building camping experiences.

Mission

 

Center hopes to helppeople travel through the "peaks and valleys" of life's journeys. Hope to help people to discover answers to some of their life questions, build healthy lives and communities, foster better interpersonal relations, promote creative and caring responses to conflict, deepend a sense of personal responsibility, accountability and active citizenship.

Focus Populations

 

Inner-city youth and families, urban grass roots organizations, nonprofit social services, and the Princeton community including school groups and churches. Groups vary in size from 15-125 with programs lasting from one to five days.

Types of Programs Offered

 

Adventure courses, New games, Night walks, High Ropes, Rappelling, Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Hiking, Camping, Orientering
