Types of Programs Offered
|
"All of our programs are intensive, challenging, and joyful. They explore the interrelationships that exist between people and their world." - Maine Coast Semester: a course for 11th graders which allows them to engage in interdisciplinary learning while based in a small community at the Chewonki Foundation. Core Curriculum include: Natural Science - the Natural History of the Maine Coast, English -Literature and the Land and elective courses with topics such as: Environmental Issues, Art and the Natural World, American History, Mathematics, French/Spanish. - Summer camp programs - Wilderness Courses - The Center for Environmental Education : Staff development workshops for teachers - The Pathways Program: Educator modules in environmental education - Wild Gulf Journal: Educational resources for the Gulf of Maine watershed. |
