Types of Programs Offered
|
Based on Whatcom Creek, Explorations has 2500 square feet of classrooms. Classes function on a trimester schedule where students learn in thematic curricular clusters. Past clusters have included topics such as Body Politic, Asia, Media, The West, Puget Sound, Forces of Nature, Urban Watersheds, The Land. Each cluster contains a specific science, social studies, literature and writing component. Students also take a related health and physical education course. Topics have included, Playing with Gravity, Wilderness Emergency First Aid, and Human Sexuality. |
