The Philosophy of Road Scholars

Road Scholars is steeped in the principles of what is called the philosophy of place. Informed by people who have lived close to their land, the philosophy of place celebrates the individual while encouraging community. In the philosophy of place, we explore the natural processes of the world unfolding in each of us and we look for those same patterns in all beings. Instead of worrying about measurement and time, we are interested in the process of life, and stories.

Our trips offer us the opportunity to be the creative, playful and imaginative people that we are. We develop a community through knowing each member as an individual. You learn because you want to learn and you only take in the parts that are relevent to you. No tests just company for the journey!
