Good Moments
My favorite memories of 2000 are filled with all of you: from a cold night on a beach in Toronto to an even colder October morning on Mt. Tammany (cigarettes and chocolate will warm you right up); sitting still in Boston traffic to running through a Baltimore topiary garden to take a 45-minute tour in 15, eating dinner at the Tomato Factory at school, or standing outside on a warm August night in a plethora of tomato plants and smiley balloons, browsing the book collection at Strand or playing hacky sack in Washington Square Park; being in Fez running around with Emm Gryner and the 12 Naked Apostles after an amazing show, or sitting in the Somerville Theater or The Bottom Line being mesmerized by Ellis Paul and sorta annoyed by Lucy; ;) standing in the rain at the Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry festival, playing Pooh Sticks, using the Wishing Well, and having ESP moments; sitting on a beach in MA getting to know ourselves; trying to cram 5 of us into a car and cruise around campus because we were too lazy to take the bus, standing outside a car in MA, realizing that we could get into it, but it would be awhile before we could actually go anywhere... ;-) staff bonding during Res Life training, realizing that we work well together because "Hey, we're Aquarians!" goofing around during boring staff meetings to runs to Target; dinner at Cooper to jumping in Passion Puddle's gigantic leaf piles.. ;-) from the grand old Banks of the Raritan (RU rah rah) to Philly to NYC to Toronto to Massachusetts, to Toronto again (and again!) to Baltimore and Virginia, from the malls to Cool Beans, to...well, everywhere else in between, thank you all for being there, for allowing me to spend time with you and share your adventures. Most of all, thank you for the incredible conversations we've had, and for those times when silence, perhaps filled with a hug or simply a gaze, said more than words ever could. (LN)
