Solstice Night Hike

On the shortest night of the year we thought we would take a hike to honor the change of the seasons. Hiking down the cliffs of the Palisades along the Hudson River, Jill and Damian led us to a place called Paradise with a roaring waterfall and beautiful views of the New York shoreline across the way.

We talked and watched the sunset and then had the adventure of finding our way back in the dark. It may have been the shortest night of the year, but there were very good chances that we would have spent that short night out in the woods had Jill not found our turn and way out of the woods!
